Travel Blessings Challenge: Perks

It was 1988. I was traveling with a group from work to Nassau, Bahamas for the weekend. All of us checked in at the same time. When I opened the door to my room, I had been given the penthouse suite on the top floor overlooking the clear blue Caribbean waters and white sandy beach. I told my co-workers who rushed to my room in disbelief.

“How did you get this room, “ they inquired?

“I smiled at the front desk clerk,” I replied!

Fast forwarding 30 years later, I realized I had been given an amazing travel blessing. I was given something I didn’t deserve and didn’t ask for. God decided to favor me and to him I am unspeakably grateful.

There are three primary thrusts for the TRAVEL BLESSINGS  CHALLENGE: Travel. Blessings. A) Tell a travel story. B) Tell a travel story in which a blessing occurred. Should you desire, add an image.

Join me in this month’s TRAVEL BLESSINGS CHALLENGE. Four easy steps:

  • Create a new post titled “Travel Blessings:PERKS”, include an image if you desire
  • Tag your post #TravelBlessings
  • Include a link back to this post -or-
  • Share a link to your contribution in a comment on this post

Stay tuned. The TRAVEL BLESSINGS  CHALLENGE is monthly. Remember to follow my blog for updated posts.

  1. That was a wonderful story and wow what a blessing! To be able to travel is a blessing in itself and then to get a bonus of a penthouse suite is amazing! I enjoyed your post!

  2. Such a wonderful story. Yes – kindness can make all the difference in the world 🙂 Fabulous challenge – I will have to think about this one. I’m sure I can find something.

Let me hear from you; I love what you have to say.
